Solid surface sink with laminate counter tops

I am looking to purchase a new kitchen sink, but would like to go with solid surface over stainless steel. We have laminate counter tops, so I am not sure how it will look. Anyone have a solid surface sink with laminate counters?

Well...I thought solid surface stuff was always undermount/bonded to the counter? Can't do that very well with a laminate counter. I know there are kits and such that say it can be done..but I don't think they've been out all that long. Just doesn't seem like a great idea.

There are all sorts of acrylic drop in that maybe what you meant?

I have a Swanstone sink with laminate. It definitely looks nicer than stainless. The only issue that we had was I had to hunt around for a drainage tray that was up on little feet to go over the (higher) lip of the sink.

I recently installed this Franke Granite single bowl sink in a new kitchen on top of laminate counter tops. Stock ones from Lowes at that. Look here

the counter top color was a tan granite color. The sink itself is dark, almost black. it is a top mount sink and looks fantastic. The people are really satisfied.

I might grab some pics (they're neighbors) and post them later

I don't know if they're still available or not, but Elkay has for years offered drop in sinks made from DuPont Corian. We installed one in an old Corian top from the 1970's which we refurbished about 18 months ago. I believe they are called Elkay Starlight. Good luck
