ice machine/water line for fridge

I am installing a new refrigerator in my house. I have an issue with the 15’ copper line that needs to be ran. It is very difficult to run it between the walls. Is it possible to solder a refrigerator water supply line? I looked for 3/8” couplings but couldn’t find any. Was also told by one gentleman that the copper is too thin to solder? Is that true? He recommended a compression fitting but not sure if I want that in my wall. Any advice would be great, thanks in advance!

The guy was talking about copper tubing being too thin to solder, not copper pipe. I imagine that you could run a 1/2 copper pipe to the area & use a reducer to connect to the refrigerator.
