mobile kitchen island with gas cooktop possible?
We're opening our kitchen to the den and dining areas (changing three separate rooms into one large space), but we would like an island that could serve as an eating area and could be moved out of the way if we needed the area clear. Our other wish is that the island could have a gas cooktop inserted in it. Is there a quick-connection or a refillable tank system that would allow a cooktop to be installed on a mobile island? I hope this isn't too silly. Thanks for the response.

Welcome to the forums!! 20# LP tanks won't give enough pressure for long enough to cook. A quick disconnect from your normal gas supply will still leave the pipe sticking out of the floor to trip on. A fixed location for the cook top is best, and would conform more to code requirements.
