Main floor laundry/2 pce washroom questions.

I am renovating an older (100yrs +/-) home for my daughter.

Currently the washer/dryer units are located in the basement which has a concrete floor, but otherwise is not very, uh, pleasant - less than 6' clearance under the floor joists, and subject to water on the floor after rains - handled by sump pump, but still not ideal.

Also, there is just one bath/powder room (4 pce.) currently in the house, and it is on the second floor.

There is a suitable area on the main floor where I can build a main floor laundry and have a toilet and small pedestal sink, BUT - the interior dimensions will be limited to 5' by 7'.

By stacking the washer/dryer, it appears this setup is possible. I can add supports to the joists/ flooring where the appliances will be - they are front-loading.

Plumbing water and drain lines are accessible. This should not be a problem.

Am I missing anything?

All suggestions and ideas most welcome!

Venting???

I just realized that I didn't consider venting. Both for exhaust and stack.

The new room will not be on an outside wall.

What are my options?

You need to vent the bath/laundry to above 2nd floor bath. Anyway to run pipes up to attic? The dryer you can go down in basement and outside. Use ridgid metal pipe. Also you can use and electric dryer and use one of those water/lint catchers.
