Logical Kitchen Project Order

I'm on a shoestring budget & will have to do these face-lift projects myself, one at a time. I'd like to 1) replace my kitchen counter tops, 2) paint my cabinets and 3) install a back splash. What is the most efficient & logical order in which to do these three things? Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to the forums! 2-1-3. Sanding and prepping your cabinets will be a little messy. Best to do it with the old countertops in place, so you can use the facilities while you do the finish. Next replace the countertop. Then do your backsplash, since it will sit on top of the countertop back.
Post some pictures on a site such as photobucket.com and copy/paste the IMG code to your reply post. We would like to see the proposed project. May have some more innovative ideas for you.
