Question Kitchen Countertop Remodelining - Quartz or Granite?

Hi everyone, I'm about to start a big project and have done some research but wanted some real peoples opinions - I have a choice between remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms with quartz countertops or granite, which one do you think will have the best resell value? If you have any experience with reselling homes and know what most people generally prefer I'd love to hear your opinions. They look very similar and I've heard good's and bad about both.

Any and all opinions and extra information you'd like to share is much appreciated. Thanks!

granite is most definitely a selling point. but it is always possible that someone will not like it.

My personal opinion would be quartz without a second thought

That said, I think I may be in the minority, people seem to be going nuts about granite these days

granite can be a BEAUTIFUL surface, depending on what is chosen. though some are bland or even ugly.

people are going nuts over it, for very good reasons.

People go nuts for it because it's far nicer than formica and has become quite affordable over the last 10 years.

I'll give you it looks good but I just hate the maintenance required of any natural stone product and that's why I would choose the quartz

the only maintenance that i do is wipe it clean. and "try" to keep my wife from using it as a storage area = somewhat of a loosing battle

of course, i know that all granite is not created equal.
