Lightbulb How can I remove old drywall form the backs of cultured marble walls?

I am removing the cultured marble walls from my shower wet area and will first replace the old drywall with greenboard in the wet area and then re-attach the marble walls to the new dry wall.

How can I remove the old drywall fron the backs of the marble after I cut them out and remove them? Will I need to scrape, chisel, steam, or something else? Anyone with experience doing this?

Welcome to the forums! You can't use green board in a wet area, so ditch that. You will need to re line the walls with concrete backer underlayment (1/2"). Use WonderBoard, Durock or HardieBacker, or others, after you install a 6 mil vapor barrier across the studs.
Now to your problem....IF you are successful in removing the panels unbroken (longshot), scraping will be your best bet. ABSOLUTELY do not use a petroleum based solvent in an attempt to remove it. It will affect the color of the panels and you won't be happy. Steaming may be an alternative along with scraping.
