Kitchen Exhaust Fan

Hello Friends,
I have a 10 Feet x 10 Feet kitchen with two windows each window is around 3 and 1/2 Feet in Length and 2 Feet in Width. My Kitchen is smoky and I am planning to install a Exhaust Fan in one of the Windows. I cannot have an exhaust duct since the building is old. Can you suggest me if i can install the exhaust fan in one of the windows.(Each window has 2 doors) I plan to put the exhaust fan in one of the the windows. Tell me how much strength the fan should be. I am planning to use 9 inch blades with 220mm sweep and 800 m3/hr air displacement. My Windows are around 4 and 1/2 feet above the ground. Please advice. I plan to place it around 5 feet above the ground. I plan to install it on a Plywwod Sheet and screw it Window.

Advice me please...

From what I know about codes in India, you can do whatever you want. From your decsription, that fan should suck the stuff from the pan, tone it down a bit.
