Question Installing an island in my kitchen

I am using an old wall kitchen cabinet we do not need and making an island in my kitchen with it. What is the best way to secure to my kitchen floor? I have 6 inch ceramic tile fooring throughout kitchen.

Use 2x4s to fit just inside the toe space cavity of the cabinet. Drill pilot holes thru the 2x4 and the grout space of the tiling. Secure the 2x4s with 3" screws (into the substrate under the tile). Slip the cabinet over the 2x4s and secure with finish nails (or screws if it will be concealed with baseboard).
Good luck!

I did one without anchoring it to the floor. I securely attached a bottom to the usually empty toe kick area and filled it with scrap iron and concrete. The island was heavy enough to stay solidly in position during normal use but could be moved if needed.
