new kitchen stove placement

should my stove/oven be flush with the front of my base cabinets?....when the contractor set the stove/oven he set it out past the cabinets about 2 inches...what is the correct placement of the stove/oven?....thanks

What's the distance from the wall to the back of the oven? A gas stove has a flex line behind it & an electric stove has a 220 cable behind it, so you need some space.

Electric Pig Tail

an electric stove has a 220 cable behind it, so you need some space.
The pig tail should fit in the drawer cavity at the floor. The receptacle should be near the floor.

What is the depth measurement of the stove? Is there space to move the stove closer to the wall?
