Question reagrding Vikrell tubs and tiling the walls.

I am now considering using a Sterling Vikrell tub in my remodel job. Can I tile the walls after installing this tub? Thanks!

Vikrell is the material Sterling uses to make their tubs. Which style were you thinking of?

Yes, this tub will allow you to tile above it. You will need to install 1/2" concrete backer underlayment on the walls after a vapor barrier. The cbu will protrude slightly past the lip on the tub, but that's ok. Your tile will cover that gap when you install it.

Long story, wound up with the Kohler Cast Iron from my local plumbing supply house. Thank you!
