I would like to know how to install a one piece tub and shower wall surround. Also, what are the pros and cons of having a tub and shower surround?

New construction, or remodel? (The answer is going to be about the same, but if this is for a remodel, you are in for a lot more work.)

Set it on the subfloor where you want it and build the walls around it. If this is for a remodel, that means you need to open up an outside wall so you can get the unit in.

Pros -- there are no joints that can leak.

Cons -- It would mean replacing the entire unit in the event it ever got damaged beyond repair. It will be fiberglass, not pressed steel or cast iron.
