Pre drilled holes in marble counter too small
I bought a vanity with a marble countertop for my bathroom remodel.
When installing my faucet and sink handles the faucet went in easily but the hot and cold handles are a hair too big for the pre drilled holes.
Is it possible to use a file to widen the holes? Im a bit scared to crack the marble.
I saw this on line. Would this work?

When purchasing a stone counter top you should provide the stone mason a template of the faucet or accurate dimensions. You should not tell them to use "standard" dimensions.
I think the file should work fine. I can't tell if its half round or flat from the pic. You could get a Dremel tool with diamond sanding mandrel.
