Tub Advise requested

Our tub, porceline, had been reglazed professionally many years ago but has areas where the reglazing is now chipping off. Can this tub still be reglazed? I'm concerned that there are areas of the old reglaze that may come off after a new reglaze is applied, thereby destroying the new reglaze.
I am also considering a newer tub but want to keep costs down. Which way would you go? Thanks.

Are there any construction recyclers in your area? You might find a used tub is good shape for less than reglazing. Since the tub will be removed investigate having it re-porcelained instead of reglazed.
