Vapor barrier needed?

Is a vapor barrier needed on an exterior masonry wall when a membrane will be applied on the interior cbu? This is for a shower in south Florida and currently there is a thin faced foil on the outside wall.

Why ignore? I'm seeking an answer.

Pulpo was saying to ignore his post, not yours. I think something happened after he made it which made him think his response was not a good idea but he couldn't delete.

I'm not qualified to answer your question, just want to clear up any confusion.

Sorry Jevs74. I had made a mistake in my answer. That's why I said THIS post not THAT post. I was going to say that an exterior vapor barrier was strange to me but then I thought of Tyvek & I didn't know if that was considered a vapor barrier. I was also going to say that Florida construction baffled me.
