Tub Replacement

We purchased our townhome 7 years ago. The age of the unit is 28 years. It is obvious that looks are deceiving. Over the past couple of years I had to replace the faucet and knobs due to mold and slight water leakage. My tub is probably as old as the home and I want to remodel anyway. Can someone help lead me to where I can find full step by step instructions to replace my existing tub and ceramic tile walls with a full 1 piece shower/tub unit. I appreciate any support anyone can give.

To add to this,, The ceiling in the tub area is lower than the standard 8' ceiling. Is this code or is this a preference?

Most major big-box outlet stores have full one-piece drop in units. There is also an outfit, around Oklahoma at least, called Re-Bath. Custom Bathroom Remodeling Professionals | Re-Bath
