putting up bullnose tiles around ceramic tile in bathtub

I need some advice on what exactly to do about the drywall protruding beyond the ceramic tile that was placed in my bathtub. I'm wanting to put bullnose tiles on the border, but like I said, the tile and the drywall are not flush. Should I just sand down the drywall to make it flush?

How large is the difference? There are 2 kind of caps - one is a bull nose which is a flat tile with a finished edge on one side. The other is a mud cap which is similar to bull nose however, it has a radius that arcs back to cover 1/2" of material on the wall.

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Or even more, sometimes. Posting a few pix would enable us to see what you're dealing with, and possibly make more worthwhile suggestions.
