Need some advice.. I have a ceramic pedestal sink and base set up in my bathroom and would like to have a little more quick accessible storage. I want to have the base replace with a slim cabinet and door. The issue is the drain release plug is close by which limits most store bought cabinets. i know this varies by region, material etc but i just need a guesstimate - or at least a 'minimum' amount - as to what it may cost to do my shower. It's now down to the studs and i'm keeping the floor for sure since it's in decent shape and i'm going to try to keep the lower 1 ft of remaining tiles that are still in place. but of course i need a new glass door and even if i have to remove the lower tiles, so be it. due to the weird measurements, it's 42x43 (a check of the big box stores wasnt even close for a 'surround' plus of course it would have to be in pieces to get in there), i'm assuming my only real option is to tile and while i've never done it, i need to diy to save $. I'm not putting in $20 SQ ft tile or anything fancy. i just need something that is highly resistant to mold and it can be plain white even :) My only 'musts' for the shower are just 2 small corner shelves on the back of the shower. I'm using the existing plumbing since i really dont do plumbing work. any suggestions or other info is appreciated.
