Relocating the Fridge
I am opening up part of a wall between my kitchen and living room and need to move the fridge to the oppoiste corner of the kitchen. Here is my dilemma. One wall has baseboard heat and the other does not so I placed the back of the fridge against the wall with no heat and the side of the fridge has the baseboard heat. My wife would like it turned so that the back of the fridge is against the baseboard heat.
Other than making the fridge run a little more during the winter months are there any other conerns I should have?

If this is electric baseboard heat, it can be dangerous to have something right in front of it. We once accidentally placed a plastic picnic cooler too close to a baseboard heater and the heat melted the plastic. We were lucky to find it and move it before it became a fire hazard.

Other than blocking your heating for the house not much harm will be done. The compressor/motor of a refridgerator produces a lot of heat as it runs. Its the inside that's made cool. It not much different that running a refrigerator in a garage on a hot summer.
