Electric Range —> Gas. Insurance Concern?

I want to switch from an electric range to a gas range. There is an existing gas hookup, since I believe there was a gas range prior to the current electric one.

Is this something I would need to report to my insurance company?

Thanks for your help!

If you want it to be covered by insurance, it should be inspected, by the local building dept. If I remember correctly, 3/4" gas line is now the code in NY. So it maybe a bigger job than you think.
