Help wirh removinf outdated towel tack and toilet papaper holder

What is the best way to remove these porcelain/ceramic fixtures t causing damage to the wall.e wall.

They are glued or mortared in place. I cut all the way around the perimeter with a box cutter knife and whack them with a hammer (wear safety glasses). They'll ether pop off whole or break and you can pick off what remains stuck. Cutting around the perimeter helps prevent damage to the wall beyond the piece.

Plan on having to patch the wall once they are removed. If I remember correctly they are set into a hole cut into the drywall.
