Mounting heights for shower rough-ins.
I don't know how high off the ground to put a recessed shower box and other stuff.
Is there a standard height or some rule-of-thumb that the design pros like to do. I am custom framing some 2x4s to make a recessed shower box to hold shampoos and also another recessed smaller box right under that for a soap box. What do you guys do?

Not that you have to abide by it, but I believe ADA height is 40" off f.f. to center of handle. This keeps the control box well above any potential grab bars that might be installed below/around it. If you want grab bars now is the time to put in the horizontal backing/blocking for them.
