shower refit
Want to upgrade small basement bathroom shower. Not sure if I,m going to tile or put in 5 piece tub enclosure. The shower walls are the corner of of basement poured foundation.I was told to use denshield on the walls before tiling.Would I also use denshield if using tub enclosure. And any ideas for the ceiling? Thanks, John

Getting some bad info.
Need to decide which way your going to go on this.
Plastic encloseuer then go with a nail on not a glued on.
It's far thicker.
No sheetrock behind it.
No way would I be using any form of sheet rock if I was going to tile.
Tile board and a water proofer like Red Guard over it before tiling.
Ceiling can be moisture resistant drywall.
There has to be an exhost vent in there!!

Denshield is an approved tile backer and is used quite a bit in commercial applications. It costs a bit more than products like Durock, but is perfectly fine.
