Remodeling our bathroom. A half-wall is being built to separate the double vanities from the shower. I want the backsplash above the vanities to continue around the top of the half-wall and into the shower. Here is a picture: [ATTACH]50131[/ATTACH] The backsplash will consist of a 4" high strip of mosaic tile on mesh, capped at the top with a 5/8" high pencil piece. I'd like to wrap this around the top of the half-wall to make a seamless design, but my contractor either didn't understand what I wanted to do, or doesn't think it will be possible. Here's a drawing of what I'd like to do: the same as the backsplash except that you lay a piece of tile flat on top of the wall. [ATTACH]50132[/ATTACH] He's suggesting we use a piece of bullnose tile to cap the top, like what is pictured in the bottom drawing above. But this won't match the backsplash (or the ribbon through the shower). Is it possible to do what I'd like to do (the top right drawing)? Any help would be appreciated.

i have a 1929 house and it has a powder room tucked beside the stairs. The space is VERY narrow, like 30-36". So narrow, in fact that your knees hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. Would it be acceptable to rotate the toilet so that it is against the back wall, facing the door (long ways in the room)? I think that ascetically it is bad, but would be much more functional than riding the porcelain throne side saddle, like we were doing.
