Look for some advice please! I am toying with adding a steam room with shower to my apartment, having done a fair bit of research online, I am still unsure which, if any is the best option to go for a there doesn’t appear to be that much in the way of actual customer reviews out there. So I am hoping you guys may have had some experience you can share and offer some feedback on. The two options are either a Self Build from scratch, whereby I purchase on the necessary parts such as glass enclosure, wall boards, tiles, steam generator, lighting, seating and so on….something like this one show on Youtube ******** The other option is to purchase an off the shelf as such, all in one unit steam shower cabin with all the gadgets included, like ********. These do look quite nice. From my research there are pro’s and cons for each, such as with option 1 you can basically add whatever component parts you want, so likely to be of better quality, last longer and can be built to any size you want. However the time and costs is greater. With the all in one off the shelf solution, quick to install ( I think) lower price, everything is included, however, will I be able to get parts if something goes wrong, are they sturdy enough ?. So that’s my dilemma. Hopefully some of you can give me a bit of feedback as to the best option to go with. Or at least share any first-hand knowledge.:)

The issue I have is the removal and replacing of the granite by a pro is nearly half the cost of the granite to begin with. I also found a "pro" who is installing cabinets under granite by removing 2 cabinets at a time and maintain support by pulling out and sliding in the new cabinets. Claims to have done 10 kitchens this way and the refs seem solid. Thoughts?
