Bathroom tub: repair or replace?

We are planning a bathroom renovation. Our tub is cast iron and 60 years old. As you can see from the picture, it has some erosion near the drain. Is it worth trying to repair the erosion and re-glaze the tub, or get a new cast iron one?

I agree with John. If you are doing a "remodel", leaving ugly in the mix isn't a good idea. Cast iron won't heal itself, and won't get better on its own. Repairs are often short lived.
