Glass panel in tub enclosure- What does code call for?

I will soon be updating our hall bath. I want to put a glass panel in one of the walls of our alcove tub similar to the photo below. Can someone tell me what is required by code? Is the glass panel something I would contact any glass shop about?

The higher risk of slips and falls in wet areas means most glass located in bathrooms must be constructed from safety glass. Typ glass shops dont carry large amounts but they will have samples and it will be ordered.

I found a tempered glass manufacturer close by. If I wanted a hole drilled in the glass could they do that?
