Dishwasher pull handles and panels
Hi.
We have an Asko dishwasher with a custom wood panel door. Two questions here:
1) We want to replace the door pull with something more country kitchen-ish. Are pulls for dishwashers usually universal in the length? the one on there currently is has a modern look and doesn't match at all.
2) Same fo the panels, If we choose to replace the dishwasher down the road with a different brand, is there standardization of the way the wood panels mount to the dishwasher?
thanks

1. There is no "standard" pull in fact you have thousands to choose from. Measure the spacing of the mounting holes for your current handle and look for another with the same bolt spacing or if it's a single bolt pull just pick what you want as you don't have the spacing to worry about.
2. There is sorta a standard for how the panels mount but there is no standard size. Odds are good that your current panel will at least need modifying to fit another brand door. If looking for a new dishwasher I would measure your door panel and try to find a new dishwasher that matches. Or, have a cabinet company make a new, matching panel.

Replaceable pulls and panels is not something found on most appliances. Pulls and panels would not be interchangeable between brands,
