Raising a Bathroom Vanity

Hello and thank you in advance for any replies. Iím raising my bathroom vanity from 30 to 36 inches. The issue that Iím having is encroaching on the mirror as it currently runs the length of the wall and is flush on the vanity backsplash to about an inch under the light fixture.

My question is- can I raise the vanity and let it be flush against the mirror? Do I HAVE to move the mirror?

It's your house, you can do what you want. But IMO, yes, you should remove the mirror.

There is no reason why the mirror can't be touching or even resting on the back splash. Only problem I see is that it will get dirty faster. If you want to move the mirror we will need to know how it's attached to the wall. If it's glued to t he wall then I would not recommend trying to move it. If it's held on with typical mirror clips then moving it is very possible.
