Wood-look floor tile used as countertop?
I've seen this a lot on line, and I think it's something I might like to consider.
Anybody done this?
And if so, what did you do about the edges?
Looking for ideas. Want to do something different with my countertops, and I love the rustic look.
Oh, and Hi! I'm new here.

Yes, tile for a countertop is done. You do need to take grout into account (seal it well) and lippage can be a problem when you go to work on the surface.

Just to add one point, you might want to use a type of grout that does not need to be sealed in the first place... epoxy grout is highly water and stain resistant and would work well on a countertop, since that's an area that would frequently get wet.
You might look into some of the schlueter products for your edges/corners.

Thanks! I will look into them.
I have told my husband I am taking a sabbatical from politics for a while, and delving head-first into doing the things for my home that I have kept putting off.
I have lots of projects, so hopefully I will be able to get some help here!
