Do you secure cabinet shims?
Installing new kitchen cabinets and shimmed everything level, but I was wondering before I trim the shims flush, do I secure them with anything, like silicone adhesive to prevent future movement, or are they good to go as is?

You generally only shim near the cabinet fasteners... so no, there is no need to secure them because if the cabinet is screwed to the wall tight the shim can't move.
If you are talking about securing the cabinet shims to the floor, no, they won't be going anywhere.
