What material they use for kitchen cabinets
Remodeling kitchen so in process of looking for new cabinets. we visited porcelanosa.
They have great inspiration but out of our range but was wondering their kitchen cabinets looked different then standard kitchen cabinets we get from cabinet stores. Don't know if it was formica or something but looked different. don't know how durable those cabinets are? If they are durable i might consider. But also looking for
any alternate stores which looks similar to cabinets @ porcelanosa.
Any suggestions will be great.

Some of that shiny stuff is called thermofoil. I'm not sure I would call it "durable" because it is such a delicate surface. The slightest ding or scratch would render those kinds of surfaces damaged and there is no repair. The only repair is replacement of a door... provided the material is still available and not discontinued by then. Have already experienced that with a customer... had to get a door imported from Italy, which was the last known source for her particular cabinet door.

So i asked my wife what she likes most in those cabinets. And now I am clear she likes the organization inserts like racks and other accessories which comes with those cabinets. I am sure its available somewhere or at any other cabinet stores. May be that makes it more expensive because they have good inserts which are tied to the drawers and shelves (like pull outs). Will need to research more on pull outs and drawer organizers and may be can add it later after buying cabinets.
