glass shower door 2 sided tape

Have had this bathroom remodeled from 2004. Glass shower door was installed that pulls in and pushes out. The rubber gasket between the glass door and the glass wall on the hinged side won't stick to the glass about 1/4 of the way up. I've tried scraping the glass with a blade, reversing the two sided tape and cleaning the glass with alcohol prep but still no stick. Any ideas???

Which is it... a rubber gasket? Or two sided tape? Those are 2 different things.

Or is one on one side of the glass and one on the other? Pics might help us see what you see.

The rubber gasket is held to the glass by the two sided tape.

Sounds goofy. I would take the pieces to a City glass shop, (a commercial glass store common in any city) they usually do custom doors and could probably get you replacement parts. The glass would obviously need to be completely clean and free of lime and soap scum for the new stuff to stick. You have one shot at it, since once the adhesive tape has been removed, it cannot be repositioned.
