Unhappy

Hi, in my house, the ceiling in the kitchen has some water stain and it seems that was caused by the bathroom in the second floor. Could that be water leakage? If so, should I fix it byself or hire a handyman to do it? I am wondering how much does it cost to fix it.

Thanks in advance!

Cool

It could be water leakage from a supply line, fixture or drain line, OR it could be from water simply being splashed on the floor next to a tub or shower leaking between the edge of it and the flooring.
Is the ceiling stain wet or dry? Is the stain growing? Is the spot wet continuously, or does it just get wet when the bathroom is in use?
Can you tell what is directly above it? Sink? Toilet? Tub?
You may end up having to cut into the ceiling to determine and repair what is leaking from underneath (tub/shower drain trap, etc.).
Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply. It is directly under the tud and it is a little moisture, not wet. From my observations, the stain is not growing so much.

Should I call a handyman or fix myself? How much does that gonna cost?

Thanks in advance!
