Question Vikrell vs Acrylic vs ProCrylic

We need to replace a tub/shower combo in one of our cottage rental units. Have seen them made of vikrell, acrylic, and now Procrylic. Pretty much eliminated acrylic due to ease of damage and difficulty to repair as it will get considerable use/abuse. Tub in current one (from previous owners) cracked when guest dropped shampoo bottle just to give you an idea. Any suggestions? preferences? Also, I see some saying no caulk due to interlocking walls. Again... feasible under use? Also, it's in Northern Michigan, and we shut it down for the winter... possibility of freeze damage? HELP...Have to get this done before we shut it down next month.

Make sure the tub of your new unit is well seated in a bed of mortar during installation. It is key to preventing cracking.

Thank you. Will relay this to handyman installing it. I think that is why current one cracked. When we would stand in it, it would feel spongy. Thank you!
