DIY Floating Vanity with 12" solid surface front/apron
Greetings! I would like to install an 84" wide floating double sink vanity, quartz top with 12" front depth apron across the front. The left side would have a knee hole for make-up area and the rest to the right end would have a wooden shelf for storage. I've seen how floating vanities are supported with brackets in studs, etc.. I was wondering how to support the large front apron. I don't mind having a light ash/hickory open base/shelf for support as it would match my new floor tile. Any suggestions on building an attractive open base with shelf for support? I've attached a very rough sketch. I believe I can have the top manufactured locally and I have a very good carpenter/jack of all trades that can build the base, install vanity and attach plumbing.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello all. We are looking at trying to replace the Russell stovetop that was in our house when we moved in. The grates are cracked (can't seem to find replacements), one ignitor doesn't work (can't find a new one), and in general we're slowing moving our house to more electric. So we'd prefer to go induction if at all possible.
Can anyone recommend a way to replace this guy? If it was just a drop in, it'd be no problem, but unfortunately it is old enough (probably from the 90's just before russell went out of business) that has quite the front profile). We've tossed around the idea of redoing the whole kitchen, but there are more pressing needs in the house at the moment so we're looking to just replace the stove top.
Any suggesting would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I need some help with caulking kitchen counter to backsplash near sink.
It seems I got this figured out, however it seems that I have issue near sink as caulk survives about 2-3 month, as it is vet near sink.
I was told to us sanded ceramic tile caulk, and it looks good, but not for a long time.
Should I put a colorless acrylic caulk near sink, or I am using the wrong caulk?
Please see pictures below.
Thanks,
Igor
