I had a new quartz countertop installed. After they left I noticed a chip that they filled in with yellow and the countertop is white. Is there a way to fix this? It is in a very conspicuous spot. Fabricator/installer is not responding to calls or inquiries from BBB. I attached a picture of the chipped area.
You can scrape or grind out their patch and install your own. You'll have to get epoxy and tints and mix the color to your liking. Fill in the divot and let the epoxy harden. Then you can gently shave off the high parts with a razor blade and then use some very fine sandpaper to get the sheen, finish you want.
Hi there,
What is a good way to fill the gap between tiles and bathtub shown on the below picture? It seems like it was filled with tile grout. Would caulking be acceptable? Would tile grout be better?

Sorry if this isn't in the right thread. I couldn't find one that was specific to "in progress" bathroom improvements. This is a new bathroom in my basement.
How do I seal the gap between the front of the toilet and the floor (about 1/2" due to uneven concrete floor under the laminate)? The picture here shows 1/4" backer rod. Can I just get 1/2" back rod and apply that big of a bead?
And for the rest of the gaps in walls, vanity, and trim, I think most of it I can just apply a bead of caulk around walls. Does that sound right?
What about this type of shower enclosure? Should I caulk at all the seams where all the pieces are put together?
Thanks in advance!
