Over the past year, my husband has had to change the rubber washers on both the hot and cold faucet handles. The latest thing to start leaking was the faucet for the shower on/off. Now there is no water going to the shower whatsoever. We have taken the shower head off and all the valves are open. Thanks in advance.

Cool

Go to "Repair/Fix-It" above and look in "Faucet Basics" in the Plumbing section and find your type of faucets for illustrated how-to repair info.
Good Luck!

Wink

It sounds like the diverter valve inside of the tub spout has gone bad....it happens. The spout should come off in one of two ways: 1. Just unscrew the thing. 2. Has a set screw holding it on. Look underneath the spout for the set screw.
Once you have it off, go to the hardware store and get an new spout and reinstall it.

Make sure the shower head is clear of old washer fragments. The tiny holes that the water sprays out of might be clogged.
