spray painting shower stall base

I would like to know if it is ok to spray paint the base in my shower stall. My landlord installed a fiberglass/acrylic surround in the shower but did't do anything for the base. She gave me some sandpaper, spray paint and told me to spray paint the base and that it would be ok. I am starting to lose my mind. She is to cheap to do things properly and I can't afford to get the job done right.

Why even bother, take the spray paint back,get the 4 bucks
credit buy a new shower curtain,or if you can get the cash
relax with a grande Mocha Frappucino,
