New tub install

My tub has a hole in it. I need to replace it. I need to pull it out of the wall, put the new one back in, replace the tile and faucets.

I am good at doing things I've never done before, but I'm a little leery about doing this myself. Some people have told me I can. How easy/hard is it to replace a bathtub and tiling?

Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Cool

It is a major job, but if you're handy at things, you should be able to do it, step by step.
It may take several days.
Is your old tub fiberglas or cast iron? You can cut up a fiberglas tub with a reciprocating saw. You usually have to break up a cast iron tub with a sledge hammer to remove it.
Is your bathroom door wide enough to get a new one through?
Is this a tile shower/tub or just a tub only?
Have you considered a fiberglas shower/tub? You can get them in one piece or in 2 or 3 sections.
Once you get your plan set, and some measurements, you can shop around for what you need.
We'll be glad to help you as you go (Plumbing forum and Ceramic Tile forum).
Good Luck!
Mike
