Question bathroom

Help! We recently moved in to a new house and the toilet seats need to be replaced. I have heard that its a pretty easy thing to do but I have no clue how.....can someone explain to me step by step how to remove and replace a toilet seat? Thanks!

Cool

Toilet seats are just bolted onto the bowl base with a couple of long bolts. They may be brass or plastic.
At the base of the seat, you will see a couple of snap caps over the heads of the bolts. Pry up the lids of the caps with a small flathead screwdriver from the seat side (they usually open toward the tank).
Use a large flathead screwdriver to turn the bolt, and hold the nuts underneath with a pair of pliers to start, and then your fingers.
If you have corroded bolts that won't turn, put some masking tape on the porcelain to prevent scratching, and saw off the heads of the bolts with a hacksaw blade (use a heavy glove or cloth to hold it).
Position the new seat, and tighten down the seat with the new bolts that come with it. Voila!
Easy.
Good Luck!
