concrete shower basin

I am remodeling our basement bath. I would like to pour a concrete shower basin. Can you give me some tips on doing this? I already have it framed in, I would like to put a seat in it and I know I need to use plastic between the concrete floor and the new concrete. What I don't know is how to concrete a seat and secure a drain to the concrete and anything else that you think I should know about befor taking on this project. I plan to tile over the concrete. This is my first time using your site and I thank you in advance for any information including videos or books on this job.
Thank you, Joe

Custom shower pan construction

Unless you are an advanced DIYer, customer shower pan construction tends to be beyond the skills of the average DIYer. The project involves installing a pan liner, plumbing, and concrete work. An alternative is to purchase a custom shower pan from a local plumbing supplier.
