Question plumbing a bathroom

I am trying to plumb a 1/2 bath under a staircase. How far off the stud wall should i cut a hole in the subfloor for the toilet waste drain? What amount of clearance should be allowed on the sides and in front of the toilet?

You might want to go to your local Home Improvement center and get a book on bathroom remodeling. It should have the minimums in it. You might want to checjk the model of the toilet you are going to by to find out the RO distances. They can vary from brand to brand deoending on the toilet.

The center of the waste drain is standard 12" from the finished wall. You can get toilets that are 10" or 14" but they are usually special order.
