Bathroom Remodeling Steps

I need to gut and remodle my full bath and plan on doing most of the work myself. After I gut it, what is the order I should do the work? (i.e. install tub, tile floor, intall toilet, tile tub wall, intall pedestal stink, etc.) Thanks. -Steve

I am currently doing a similar remodel and this is the current order that I am working:
Install new shower faucet/controller
Install shower receptor
Install shower wall(concrete backer board) and tile
Paint walls
Tile bathroom floor
Install new sink and toilet.

This order gives me the top to bottom approach with the least possibility of damaging one part while working on another (i.e. dripping hot solder on a new shower receptor, etc.).

Welcome to remodeling hell. Hope you have it easier than we
Here is a website for our ongoing bathroom remodel.\wilkiepup2002
A few thoughts:
It will be more work than you think.
You will learn why the experts charge so much.
You will use all of your remodeling skills on this project and some that you don't have.
Your marriage will suffer a blow.
Your bank account will shrink.
You may be without facilities at times.
You will discover that remodeling a bathroom is more involved than any other room of your house.
You will use just about every tool that you possess and buy some that you don't possess.
You will return to the store for forgotten items over and over and over. They will get to know you by name.
You will find yourself wishing that the store was open at 10pm on Sunday night.
You will be happy to see it done - someday.
