Hello, I have a tiny bathroom (90"x56") in which I'm planning to change the floorplan. The new plan will have the tub on the 56" wall, under the window and opposite the door. I'd like to build a custom tub that is 56"x40" finished size (approx). I am seeking advice (experience=wisdom) on the project. Is there any reason it would not work to build a shower stall-like bathtub, simply making the walls tall enough to hold deep water, and using ceramic or clay tiles..? It would be (I think) 2x4 square framed, gently sloped away from the wall and toward the drain. I haven't really seen this done, but I don't know why, in my limited experience, it wouldn't work. Any advice greatly appreciated! Also, any direction or links for further research appreciated too. AmyK.
