Build a form
You can build a form around it, using 2x4's and a thin plywood and pour mortar in it. Build the walls of the form little higher than the bottom of the tub to 'over-fill' just a bit to eliminate any possible gap/voids.
Your form doesn't have to be completely water-tight since mortar mix is viscous enough not to sip through a tiny gap; but try to avoid any if you can.
After mortar cures, rip out the plywoods and 2x4's.....your mortar bed is complete.
