Storm Door Install

I'm looking at purchasing a storm door and don't want
to pay the additional $$ to have it installed. Are there
install directions that come with them?

shorten steel doors?

I have recently put in hardwood floors. I have 2 exterior doors (metal face, foam filled). The problem I have now is the doors barely clear the hardwood floor and I can not put down any floor mats and or rugs in front of the doors. Is there a way to shorten the doors by 1/4 inch? I do not have the room at the top of the doors to raise the frame without taking the door out and reframing them. I would like to avoid the expense and trouble of redoing both entries.Read More

New Exterior Pre-Hung Door

I am building a new garage. Things have worked out well up to this point, now I have a question I cannot find an answer too. I went to test fit my pre-hung service door and the concrete isn't level (imagine that) So to get the door to swing right I either have to hang crooked so the frame is square or shim it under the sill to bring one side up and level and square it. Which is the right way to go? Is it ok to shim under the sill? Thanks, DaveRead More
