We have an aluminum patio door that is difficult to close completely. I believe the wood in the door jamb may be warped. There is also a metal strip strikeplate. It is around 30 degrees where I live and I'm concerned that when it warms up, the wood will expand and I won't be able to close it at all. Is there a way to remedy this problem?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

Hi amy, well have you checked the wheels on the sliding patio door? normally they need adjusting after a while, if you close the door to about 10mm of the locking style so you have a gap so the door is not fully closed now check to see how straight the door is with the locking style?, if the wheels need adjusting the gap will be uneven as you look up and down the gap, ie wider at the top than the bottom or vise versa, adjust these first then let me know how you get on, I hope this helps a little, Handyman
