One panel of our sliding glass doors has a developed a white stain between the safety glass panels. What is the best method to repair? Suggestions of materials needed, best cleaners to prevent reoccurance, input appreciated. Door is too large for us to consider purchasing new and a repair person is also out of the question .

Hi, well if the white stain is between the both panes of glass this cannot be cleaned, it happens when the seal breaks down between both panes of glass and the moisture is no longer soaked up by the seal, this is not repairable or cleanable, you have to replace the double glass unit, and it cannot be cleaned regardless of what substance you use on it as it is between the panes and not on the external surfaces of either the internal or external panes of glass, contact your local glass company to come and measure the glass and quote you to replace it,you do not have any other options, you do not need to replace the complete door only the glass panel, it will not get any better but worse as time goes on to the point that you will not be able to see through it, I hope this helps a little, Handyman
