Our house is 9 years old and was customed designed with a "greenhouse" type of kitchen. 8 skylights rest on a plate above a window wall and the window wall turns 90* at the corner of the house. A triangular window follows the roofline over this section. We have had problems with leaking from day 1 and have had the skyights repalced with VELUX and this was a big help. Now there must be water somewhere because the top of the window wall framing is turning black with mould in the corner section for about 4 ft. It is ruining the wood and the paint is peeling. I think there is a design problem but no one will fess up!! Does anyone have any suggestions(no caulking quick fixes, please) and whom, in the trades community should I trust!! thanx!!!

Cool

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? Most windows, etc. have 10-year warranties or more. Try to get a manuf. rep out, along with the installer, to see what they suggest. If it's happening to you, and it was installed properly, then it has happened to others. Good Luck!
